Driving and Measuring Success

Every colleague sets clear, measurable objectives which are aligned to our wider business goals. You will receive regular feedback on your progress against those objectives, as well as more formal twice yearly reviews.  We also encourage everyone to set personal development goals to help you grow both in and outside of your role. Our approach ensures everyone is clear about how they can succeed at British Land.

Personal Development

We continually invest in our people, supporting future potential through bespoke learning programmes and high impact personal development initiatives. We encourage colleagues to set personal development goals to help them grow both in and outside of their role.

Management Training

We deliver a tailored internal training programme to all managers which focuses on their management styles, motivating their teams, coaching conversations to aid their team’s development and tools to support them when it comes to having challenging conversations.

Mentoring

We facilitate mentoring pairings across the business to help mentees expand their network, gain confidence and develop their career. Mentors benefit from developing their leadership skills, meeting new colleagues, and gaining new perspectives.

During my time at British Land, I have been fortunate to receive personal and career development support. From maternity coaching through to pursuing my Senior Leader Apprenticeship at Exeter University. Their commitment to my professional development has been instrumental in equipping me with the skills and knowledge necessary for my own career journey while balancing the business’ ambitions.
